Description Senior Director – Colombia Alvarez & Marsal Colombia is looking for strong candidates at the Senior Director level to join our team and deliver large, complex, and transformational client engagements. Within A&M, we work with Private Equity portfolio companies, Corporate clients, and family-owned companies throughout the business cycle by delivering performance improvement, restructuring, turnaround, interim, and crisis management. Our areas of expertise include but are not limited to revenue enhancement, cost optimization, financial and operational restructuring, organizational transformation, liquidity management, interim and crisis management, CFO finance leadership, etc. The successful candidate will be an expert in designing and delivering financial improvements, organizational change, and transformational programs at the C-suite and board levels. In addition, this role will involve business development, origination, and proactive client relationship management. The candidate: Must be able to demonstrate a successful track record in converting business contacts and leads into sustainable, profitable revenue streams; Must have successful and significant experience in selling, diagnosing, and delivering performance improvement mandates in a top-tier strategy firm and/or leading specialist and niche advisory firms; A recent track record of successfully leading teams & delivering major transformational assignments with a proven record of achieving agreed financial benefits; Possess excellent financial & business and financial modeling skills. Can conduct an initial rapid diagnostic into the company's immediate and future cash needs, product profitability, cost base, and significant operational issues; Experienced in resolving complex operational and financial problems, including implementing cost reductions and operational improvements; Willingness to travel to client sites across Latin America at short notice as part of the working week; Strong analytical skills and deep-dive analysis; Fluency to a business level in both verbal and written English; A persuasive and effective communicator & stakeholder manager who can engage effectively with leadership teams in pressure situations and influence at the Board level. Responsibilities: Develop ongoing client relationships at every level by delivering existing work, looking for new opportunities to assist, providing thought leadership, and being a trustworthy, trusted advisor. Assist in the planning and execution of project phases and supervise others as necessary to ensure the following: coordinating work efforts with the client and A&M team; completion of defined deliverables; adherence to project milestones and timelines; communication of progress to all parties (internal and external); and managing team members, as necessary. Provide service excellence by identifying key client business issues and driving, measuring, and reporting on the results of engagements. Determine client needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches. Evaluate and validate analysis and develop recommendations for the client in the context of the overall engagement. Implement and oversee the quality of deliverables. Effectively manage the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance. Participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities.
