Project description As a part of our growing cooperation with a small and well organized US based Investment Bank, we are building a team to deliver on a set of regulatory requirements. The project will be built from scratch by one agile team, based on technology already used by the customer. Responsibilities Requirement gathering, system analysis, and development of functional and technical specifications. Analyzing and improving existing data mappings and creating new mappings. Using an ETL tool and rule engine to create transformation rules for XML and relational data. Partnering with business teams to document requirements and workflows for new developments clearly. Assisting in writing JIRA stories for workstreams as needed. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with business stakeholders. Delving into complex system infrastructure. Working with development teams to ensure business needs are met. SKILLS Must have 6+ years of proven experience in System and Business Analysis or similar roles. Strong knowledge of SQL. Hands-on experience in data mapping and validation. Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Talend, Informatica, Pentaho, or similar). Comprehensive understanding of data formats: XML, JSON, CSV. Strong knowledge of the SDLC. Proficiency in gathering, analyzing, and translating user needs into functional specifications. Expertise in identifying, documenting, and validating non-functional requirements. Familiarity with data exchange methods: REST, queues, and other integration mechanisms. Proficiency in visualization tools (e.g., Visio, Draw.io, or similar) to create comprehensive diagrams and process flows. Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches.
