Position Description As the Retail Commercial Strategy Director, you will be instrumental in driving the growth of the retail channel in Latin America. Your role is pivotal in building equity and capturing incremental customers for our client. Working closely with the marketing teams of their brands, you will design and execute campaigns that maximize sales and profitability in the channel.
Responsibilities Strategic Planning, Pricing, and Portfolio Management: Collaborate with the marketing team to align big bets and product launches within the commercial strategy and design of each campaign. Define the "master guide," a commercial tactic detailing portfolio and pricing, including sets and promotions. Collaborate with countries, outlining pricing strategies and quantities per category based on sales potential and growth for each point of sale. Evaluate the implementation results of the "master guide" and "merchandising guide" in each country and animation during each campaign. Coordinate price adjustments for promotional sets and packs with each country. Conduct quarterly competitive price analysis across all outlets, establishing a competitive strategy for each category. Randomly monitor countries to ensure the correct execution of pricing strategies. Define CRM and remarketing initiatives to implement in countries, aiming to increase traffic, transactions, and average transaction value. Quarterly assessment of Share of Shelf (SOS) and Share of Business (SOB) to maintain a competitive portfolio mix coherent with store designs. Maintain constant communication with marketing to align discontinued SKUs and convey information to countries. Share quarterly Kantar insights on market behavior with countries.
Store Design and Visual Merchandising: Create and monitor the execution of seven commercial campaigns across all Latin American outlets. Align and approve the creation of the Merchandising Guide for all formats in all countries. Coordinate with marketing to utilize visual content and consumer initiatives to drive traffic to all outlets. Define intervention needs for furniture, grids, and spaces in outlets, driving launches according to sales performance and brand priorities. Conduct quarterly review of store planograms, islands, and centers to enhance the performance of launches by categories and SKUs.
Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar senior retail management position within the beauty, skincare, fashion, or related industries. Proven track record of successfully managing multiple retail locations. Strong knowledge of direct sales, e-commerce, and brick-and-mortar store operations. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective retail strategies. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
