Job Description As an acknowledged authority within Oracle, this Principal Solution Engineer (SE) has a breadth of knowledge and understanding of solutions, Automotive leading practices, connected business processes and impact on business value. The SE collaborates with our SaaS Cloud Sales team to craft innovative, modern, value driven presentations and demonstrations that compel our customers and prospects to take action. Responsibilities Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business challenges in the Automotive industry. Facilitates customer product/application understanding through presentations, demonstrations, and benchmarks; provides support throughout the sell. Responsible for formulating and leading presales activities to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a resource and mentor for less experienced Solution Engineers. Develops and delivers outstanding presentations and demonstrations. Demos Oracle solutions that meet the needs of Automotive companies (Automotive manufacturing, OEMs, Automotive suppliers). Works with a selling team focusing on larger accounts, both Oracle customer and Greenfield prospects, on our Automotive team. Partners with peer SEs and sales teams and focuses on developing customer presentations and demonstrations. Develops a point of view for the account/opportunity, validates this with account executives, understands requirements, helps to develop a compelling solution supported by business value, assists with RFP/Proposal efforts, and delivers presentations and demonstrations at various levels up to and including the C-level. Guides and influences all aspects of a sales process based on extensive experience, in partnership with the selling team. Partners with internal and external clients on overall solutions and architecture. Leads large, complex sales opportunities that need creative design, strategy, and solutions. Acts as a resource and mentor for less experienced Engineers and Sales Reps. Helps to develop and deliver efficiency enablement for the SE and Sales organizations. Skills: Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Significant experience working in or with the Automotive field for or with an OEM or Automotive supplier within the Supply Chain Management field. Thorough knowledge of release accounting and cumulative management. Showcase technology used in the Automotive industry, including competitor software solutions, such as SAP, Plex, QAD, Infor. 3+ years SaaS Cloud solution provider experience in a selling capacity (pre-sales preferred). 7+ years business experience with relevant application solutions (e.g., Oracle Cloud ERP/SCM, EBS, SAP). Demonstrated project management and leadership skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, needs analysis, positioning/messaging, business value and justification, compelling/closing techniques. Ability to effectively persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and thoughtful communication. Travel as needed, approx. 25-50%. Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering or similar degree or certification (i.e., APICS) desirable.
