Job Description
To be successful in this role, you must possess the ability to digest, analyze and advise on broad pricing datasets and derive and articulate strategic advice as to what winning price and service packs could look like. The high volume of deals, across a wide variety of client types and in various marketplace conditions, provides the Deal Desk Analysts with a tremendous opportunity to learn about price, terms, deal structure, negotiations, contracts and sales.
Qualifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on all pricing & terms decisions within the sales cycle
- Build complex pricing models
- Analyze price getting and source of revenue walk in deals
- Discount & terms exception approvals
- Review & approve low tier discounts
- Use department guidelines to approve certain terms exception requests
- Make recommendations to Deal Desk leadership about approvals
- Manage communications with sales reps and deliver approval/rejection context
- Drive adoption of quote to cash (Q2C) tools and Deal Desk processes
- Monitor and enforce Deal Desk and CRM process compliance
- Assist & train on Q2C tools
- Participate in projects to improve Deal Desk-related processes for sales
Additional Information
Hard skills
- Degree in Business, Computer Science, Business Management or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Solid analytical background and experience with handling large data sets
- Fluent in English, other languages are a plus
- Experience/strong interest in using CRM Systems (MS Dynamics) and knowledge of data visualization and analytics tools (MSBI) a plus
Soft skills
- Critical attention to detail with a high level of accountability
- Ability to prioritize at times of high volume
- Affinity to negotiations
