Important steel industry company is seeking a bilingual professional in Business Administration, International Business, or related fields for the position of International Buyer. The candidate should have strong negotiation skills in English, be proactive, and be willing to work on-site in Medellin. Availability to travel to the company's plants in the USA for short periods may be required. REQUIREMENTS: Fluent English, advanced level (+80%) American Visa - Desirable 1+ years of experience in purchasing or supply chain Ability to make strategic decisions Negotiation skills and proactive profile RESPONSIBILITIES: Quote, negotiate, and purchase goods, spare parts, supplies, and services required by plants. Seek the best option in terms of price, quality, delivery time, and payment terms. Follow up on orders to ensure delivery to the destination and ensure timely payment to suppliers. Inform internal users about the status of the orders. Analyze recurring purchases to seek negotiations with suppliers.
