Job Title : Financial Reporting Senior Specialist Americas Position type: Permanent / Full-time Location: BOG Job ID: Job family: Finance Job description: The Financial Reporting Senior Specialist will have a crucial role in the financial operations within the Americas region, primarily focusing on coordinating the Local Statutory Accounts process. The candidate should possess extensive knowledge of financial statements, including Cash Flow, to guarantee reliable and precise financial reporting. The individual will report directly to the Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting in the US and will be instrumental in supporting the finance department's goals and objectives. In this position you'll: Collaborate with external accounting firms by reviewing their work, ensuring approval, and submitting local Financial Statements. Elaborate individual Financial Statements, if required. Manage the audit process with internal stakeholders, interact with auditors to address their inquiries, and meet audit deadlines (prior experience in auditing procedures and working with auditors is essential). Proactively manage and analyze financial data during month-end closings, including profit and loss and balance sheet accounts, monitor postings on specific topics, recommend adjustments/corrections, as needed. Ensure compliance with local GAAP and IFRS. Contribute to the overall financial integrity of the organization by providing accounting risk management to the business and the Finance Service Center (FSC). Requirements: Bachelor's in accounting and/or Master's degree in Accounting and Finance Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting department, preferably in a multinational company Strong understanding of general accounting rules and principles Experience collaborating with auditors, ideally from the Big Four would be a plus Prior experience in dealing with South America, Central America and the Caribbean would be a plus Advanced Excel skills (Pivot, VLOOKUP's, etc.) Experience in SAP/4 HANA would be a plus Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and multitask effectively Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
