Uride is growing and we'd love for you to come along for the ride! We are currently looking for an experienced Data Intelligence Manager to join the team. This is a full-time remote position. Overview Working closely with our VP of Technology, this position is responsible for developing policies, procedures, and systems for data management, monitoring data pipelines for quality and reliability, and providing business context, governance, and accessibility to ensure that our data is being used optimally. Data management is an important component of our business and we're looking for someone to join our team who is excited to take ownership of leveraging our data insights and turning them into growth opportunities. What you'll be doing Data Strategy & Analysis Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to develop, implement, and sustain a centralized data strategy - one source of truth Establish and maintain a data governance framework, including policies, procedures, and standards to ensure effective data management (quality, security, privacy, and compliance) Analyze complex datasets to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions Work with Finance and Operations teams to develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other metrics to measure business product performance Create and present reports / data narratives to stakeholders, including senior leadership and Board of Directors Data Engineering & Integration Help build a data team but be willing to get your hands dirty beforehand Implement data governance practices, including data quality monitoring, lineage tracking, and metadata management Develop and maintain Python-based tools and frameworks for data processing, validation, and enrichment Utilize deep SQL knowledge to design and optimize data models, queries, and transformations Collaboration & Communication Serve as a liaison between business units and IT to ensure data-related business requirements are well-defined and prioritized Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and operations, to uncover opportunities and prioritize initiatives Lead data-related discussions and workshops with stakeholders, ensuring all perspectives are heard and considered Communicate complex data concepts in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences Project Management & Leadership Lead and manage data analytics projects, ensuring timely and effective implementation of the data strategy and departmental initiatives Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, improvement and documentation Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analytics, business intelligence, and data governance What we are looking for Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, preferably in a service-based organization Demonstrated experience in managing and optimizing data governance, data analytics, and business intelligence initiatives Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Metabase) Some understanding of data lake architectures and cloud-based data solutions, particularly AWS services Excellent problem-solving and reporting skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders A passion for leveraging data, experienced in forecasting analysis, including period comparisons and projection accuracy Kindness, a high EQ, and adeptness at listening, communicating with, and collaborating with other team members High adaptability and a strong desire for continuous learning and growth Bonus points if you have Emerging technology experience (AI or ML) Experience in the ridesharing or transportation industry Familiarity with Medallion architecture framework Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects What you can expect from this role A fully remote international team to collaborate with Opportunities to learn and grow in a dynamic environment, exploring your potential and your ideas to the fullest Ability to work together with a team ready to play, willing to share knowledge, experiences, and challenges Flexibility and autonomy to define with your team the best way to approach problems A chance to work on impactful projects that shape the future of ridesharing If you're a data enthusiast with a passion for obtaining insights and making data-driven decisions, we'd love to have you on our team as we work towards revolutionizing the ridesharing industry.
