AMERICAS Regional Travel Manager Job Title: AMERICAS Regional Travel Manager Position Type: Permanent Location: Bogota, Colombia Job Family: Travel Management You will work in the Group Travel Management organization. We manage the Amadeus Business Travel program worldwide. Enabling travel to all our employees worldwide by deploying travel management and expense solutions, defining policies and processes and providing round the clock support to the travelers. We aim to find the right balance between the best traveler experience (prioritizing well-being and duty of care protocols), and the most cost-efficient traveling alternatives. Proper processes to handle payments to our travel vendors is another key part of our responsibilities. As the next Regional Travel Manager for the AMERICAS, your role will imply the regional/local implementation of the Amadeus Global Travel Program towards all its stakeholders (ensuring the right quality and service levels): Implementation & maintenance of global travel guidelines and solutions Operational management of local/regional travel providers Maintenance of effective and cost-efficient travel processes (from the booking to the travel vendor payment) Performance of required duty of care responsibilities Understanding of local/regional corporate travel behaviors through reporting (which has to be shared and communicated with all corresponding stakeholders) In this role you'll: Enable business travel continuity for all the AMERICAS travelers Pilot new travel management solutions to foster innovation within the travel industry Interact with plenty of travel industry stakeholders (internal and external) Be part of an international team based in different locations About the ideal candidate: University Degree in Tourism, Economics, Finance or Business Administration. Certified Travel Manager is a plus 4 years' experience in Corporate Travel Departments (preferably in big corporations), and/or Business Travel Providers. 4 years' experience as a travel agent (preferably in a global one -Amex GBT, BCD, CWT or FCM-) Project Management Experience is a plus High Experience in using databases as a working tool. Deep knowledge and understanding of the Travel Industry sector (specially travel agency side) General knowledge of Amadeus fundamentals: history, business, product offer (specially for online booking tools), strategy, technology and organization. Global Corporate Travel process and procedures (bookings, changes, cancellations, etc.)/ Travel policies and country specific legislations General knowledge about practices and procedures related to the development, test and implementation of Amadeus products (preferably online booking tools -Cytric-) Management of travel payment methods (Amex BTAs, lodge cards, virtual credit cards, b2b wallets, etc.) Familiar with airline distribution channels (EDIFACT, NDC) as well as pricing/faring from travel vendors Must have: Strong working knowledge of GDSs, online booking tools and back office travel systems from travel agencies Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for full software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
