JOB DESCRIPTION The Vice President of Government Solutions is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing and shaping the organization's engagement with the Insurance Commissioners and supporting organizations. This role will ensure the company's strategic interests in the insurance industry are effectively represented and advocated for at the state level. The VP will lead efforts to influence outcomes that impact the business while building strong relationships with key insurance regulators and industry associations. Core Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive insurance commissioner relations strategy to advance the company's goals, manage regulatory risk, and support business objectives. Collaborate with senior leadership to align Sircon for States strategies with overall company priorities. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with Insurance Commissioners, regulators, and industry groups. Represent the organization in meetings, conferences, and public forums, effectively communicating the company's positions. Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments, including sales, product, development, regulatory compliance, communications, and operations, to ensure alignment and effective implementation of government strategies and roadmap. Sircon for States Advocacy: Develop and manage proactive campaigns to promote Sircon for States throughout the industry. Serve as a spokesperson for the company in relevant public forums, industry conferences, and media interviews. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership skills with experience collaborating across departments and influencing decision-making at the highest levels of an organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare commissioner briefs explaining the power of Sircon for States and the value Vertafore provides. Problem-Solving & Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify opportunities and challenges, think strategically and develop innovative solutions to advance the company's objectives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field. Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in Insurance, technology, and/or government. In-depth understanding of the insurance industry, including regulatory frameworks, key policy issues, and emerging trends. Knowledge of federal and state insurance laws and regulations. Strong network within the insurance industry and government circles. Extensive experience working with trade associations and regulatory bodies. Additional Requirements and Details: Travel required up to 25% of the time. Ability to work remote with a stable internet connection on an as-needed basis. Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds. Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.). Frequent sitting and/or standing.
