We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling raw footage into polished final productions that align with the director's vision and are ready for broadcast. This role requires a creative storyteller with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of video editing techniques and tools. Key Responsibilities: Edit and manipulate video footage in a seamless manner to create engaging final products, understanding color science and color correction. Work closely with directors to determine all aspects of shots, providing both practical and creative input during scene planning. Select, assemble, and position equipment, including cameras, stands, and software, to achieve optimal results. Prepare and test cameras, ensuring the best angles and movements for capturing high-quality footage. Capture scenes according to production requirements, from both fixed and moving positions. Collaborate with makeup artists, lighting technicians, and sound staff to produce the best possible visual and audio effects. Troubleshoot and resolve technical or practical issues that arise during shooting or editing. Trim and organize footage into a cohesive sequence, ensuring logical flow and smooth transitions. Add music, dialogue, graphics, and special effects to enhance the overall quality and impact of the video. Create both rough cuts and final versions of the project for review. Stay updated with the latest video editing technologies, trends, and best practices to improve efficiency and maintain industry standards. Requirements: English B2 or above – Must have at least 4 years of experience. Proven experience as a Video Editor with an impressive portfolio showcasing your work. Strong proficiency in digital technology and video editing software. In-depth knowledge of video timing, motivation, and continuity. Familiarity with special effects, 3D animation, and compositing. Ability to collaborate with various production staff, including makeup artists, lighting, and sound technicians. Exceptional creative and storytelling skills, with the ability to produce visually compelling narratives. A degree in Film Studies, Cinematography, or a related field is preferred.
