About World Business Lenders () World Business Lenders (WBL) provides general purpose short-term real estate collateralized commercial loans to a broad customer base comprised of small and medium sized businesses throughout the United States that lack access to traditional funding. About the Job The candidate will research, process, and analyze loan applications. Job responsibilities include working with WBL Operations teams to underwrite business loan applications and prepare a "loan approval" for each applicable file. Furthermore, the candidate will perform other projects and duties as assigned. The Underwriting Analyst role is operationally critical towards completing the goals of the company. The nature of the job is time sensitive and requires attention to every detail. Therefore, the candidate is expected to be well organized and hardworking. The ability to apply logical thinking and analytical methods to real life situations is required. This is a cross-functional job which requires a high level of communication and quantitative skills. The candidate will have extensive exposure to senior leadership and multiple departments within the firm. The Analyst is to effectively communicate credit concerns and, in time, work on the full life cycle of a loan. Upon completion of training, Analysts may be transferred into other departments within the company, depending on business needs and other factors. Essential Functions Prepare credit analysis to determine suitability to support a credit recommendation Analyze business bank statements, financial statements, tax returns and cash flow statements to conduct investment analyses Structure and underwrite complex credit applications in a manner which achieves profitability goals while staying within risk parameters Develop financial models to support analysis of loan level and portfolio performance Ensure all loan applications are underwritten in accordance with WBL's underwriting guidelines, policies and procedures Prepare underwriting forms (Excel) and Loan Approval forms for review and approval, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all data Special projects and other duties as assigned Qualifications 100% fluency in English, with exceptional English verbal and written communication skills Experience working as a Credit Analyst in a Mortgage/Lending environment preferred Experience working in Asset Resolution department with understanding of Real Estate Assets Valuation strongly preferred Bachelor's degree (Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering/Sciences majors) desirable 1-5 years' work experience in an analytical/quantitative role Strong ability to work independently Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) – in particular, strong Excel skills – required Must own a computer (desktop/laptop, PC or Mac is acceptable) Positive attitude and willingness to learn Additional Information Contract/Consultant position DOE 11 US Paid Holidays #J-18808-Ljbffr
