Position Overview
The Traveling Superintendent will oversee commercial construction projects across various locations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role demands strong leadership skills and the ability to coordinate with subcontractors and manage resources effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors on-site for project executionManage project schedules to ensure timely completionOversee budget management and expense reportingConduct progress reporting to stakeholdersEnsure adherence to safety protocols and regulationsMaintain quality control throughout the construction processEnsure compliance with building codes and regulationsBuild and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team membersManage punch list items to ensure project completionUtilize construction management software for tracking and reportingProvide training on safety procedures and first aid as neededCoordinate travel arrangements and manage per diem allowancesCommunicate effectively with team members and stakeholders through various channels
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial constructionStrong skills in project management and schedulingExperience in budget management and expense trackingKnowledge of safety management practices and building codesExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software such as BluebeamAbility to operate a forklift and other construction equipmentAttention to detail and commitment to qualityFirst Aid CPR certification and OSHA training requiredExperience with travel coordination and car allowance management
*MUST be located in either Nebraska, Illinois or Colorado and will travel within these 3 states!
