We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Quality Engineer to lead our automation testing efforts. This role involves both technical hands-on work with .NET-based applications and leadership duties. As a Team Lead, you will manage a small team of QA professionals, ensuring effective test automation strategies and driving the quality of our software products. As a Quality Automation Engineer you will be in charge of: Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts for .NET-based applications using testing frameworks such as NUnit, MSTest, or xUnit. Work with developers and product owners to ensure automated tests align with functional and non-functional requirements. Perform API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger, and implement automated API tests where needed. Ensure integration of automated tests within CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar. Analyze and troubleshoot test failures, identifying defects, and working with development teams for resolution. Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, helping them grow their technical skills and improve testing strategies. Allocate tasks, manage team schedules, and ensure timely delivery of test automation deliverables. Advocate for best practices in automation testing within the team and the organization. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to ensure continuous team improvement. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with development, product management, and DevOps teams to ensure high test coverage and seamless automation integration. Lead the quality initiatives within Agile/Scrum teams, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Communicate automation test results, defects, and risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Process Improvement & Innovation: Continuously improve the test automation framework and optimize the testing process for efficiency and effectiveness. Evaluate and implement new testing tools and methodologies to enhance the team's capabilities. Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in automation testing, especially within the .NET ecosystem. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of test cases, test scripts, and testing processes. Ensure transparency by generating comprehensive reports on test execution, coverage, and defect tracking. To be successful at this role, we expect you to have the following experience and skills: You must reside in Chile or Colombia. Advanced English skills. Extensive experience in .NET development and automation testing, with hands-on experience using NUnit, MSTest, xUnit, or other .NET-compatible frameworks. Strong programming skills in C# and the .NET ecosystem. Familiarity with version control systems like Git, and experience integrating automation tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps). Solid understanding of web technologies (ASP.NET, MVC, Web APIs) and SQL databases. Experience with front-end test automation tools such as Selenium and API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger). Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading a QA team or working in a team lead capacity. Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders. ¿What can we offer you?
