We are looking for a driven and knowledgeable Technical Sales Specialist to join our team, focusing on Prisma SASE, Prisma SD-WAN, and network security solutions including NextGen Firewall, IPS/IDS, DNS Security, and Endpoint Security. In this role, you will act as a key liaison between our field sales teams and technical solutions, conducting competitive analysis, educating staff, and ensuring the effective positioning of our offerings in a competitive landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Competitive Analysis:
Conduct detailed feature analysis to identify the strengths of Cisco solutions against competitors, clearly communicating these advantages to field sales teams.
2. Solution Positioning:
Identify and position Cisco and/or OEM networking solutions, establishing compelling value propositions tailored to client requirements.
3. Education and Training:
Educate field sales staff on the technical capabilities and features of proposed Cisco solutions and products, ensuring they are well-prepared for client engagements.
4. Bill of Materials Creation:
Develop a clear understanding of complementary SKUs to create accurate Bills of Material (BOM/BOQ) and present these to the sales organization.
5. Technical Competency Development:
Enhance overall technical and communication skills within the team to provide effective pre-sales technical support to the field sales organization.
6. Building Relationships:
Collaborate closely with Cisco Sales Account Teams, Partner Solutions Specialists (PSS), and channel partners to achieve business goals and objectives.
7. Enablement and Knowledge Transfer:
Deliver impactful off-site enablement and knowledge transfer sessions to drive product awareness and increase adoption rates among sales teams.
8. Collaboration Across Teams:
Work effectively with various functions to ensure that sales teams are equipped to position and defend Cisco solutions in client discussions.
9. Performance Monitoring:
Monitor and present key performance indicators (KPIs) and statistical data regarding sales performance, including Win/Loss analysis and revenue, as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3+ years in a technical sales or pre-sales role, preferably in network security solutions.
- Familiarity with Prisma SASE, Prisma SD-WAN, and network security technologies such as NextGen Firewall, IPS/IDS, and Endpoint Security.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain influential relationships.
- Proficient in creating technical documentation and presentations.
