The Corporate Tax department is responsible for all corporate income and indirect (transactional) tax matters within DHL. Global responsibilities are addressed by International Taxes and Indirect Taxes, whereas regional responsibilities are organized by area, led by Regional Heads. We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in AMERICAS at Bogota, Colombia. Job Purpose: Supervise the activities of a team of tax professionals to ensure that the organization meets its tax obligations and objectives and complies with all relevant laws and regulations. Execute sub-functional plans on tax-related matters, tax compliance, and accounting principles to maintain effective tax rates, minimize tax risk, and improve cash flow in line with sub-functional strategy, business objectives, group policies, regulations, and compliance requirements. Your tasks: Guide and execute tax-related activities and execute tax strategy to achieve tax obligations and objectives across tax planning, compliance, reporting and filings, auditing and communication with external tax auditors. Oversee tax accounting, preparation and submission of tax returns, tax assessments, and execution of tax payments and refunds. Provide tax advice, contacts and alignment with Finance Director and other relevant stakeholders in the divisions DGF, EX and DSC. Facilitate and support local tax audit, inform local Finance Director/CFO and provide update on audits. Identify and manage new risks/opportunities, analyze existing risks, decide on necessity for tax provision and conduct requests for rulings. Evaluate and enhance activities, policies, practices, and transactions to achieve compliance and avoid criminal tax proceedings. Oversee the tax controls compliance and initiate continuous improvements. Maintain and build relationships with third parties, and manage and select external service providers. Support negotiation with tax authorities, tax auditors and statutory auditors. Ensure timely submission of responses to requests from tax authorities. Follow up on tax processes. Guide and execute current and deferred tax provision and Tax notes to the financial statements. Your profile: Bachelor's Degree. +6 years of experience in related roles.
