For more information, please visit Amwell.com . Brief Overview: The Systems Administrator will play a critical role in the Information Technology department. Specifically, the Systems Administrator will support the company's corporate IT Infrastructure including all servers and supporting platforms and other systems. This role requires a hands-on, seasoned administrator who is up to date with current technologies and is continuously striving to increase their technology expertise. Core Responsibilities: Support IT Help Desk Infrastructure related tickets and tasks Lead IT Infrastructure and platform-related projects for a 24/7 company striving for 99.9% uptime and availability Assume ownership of projects from beginning to end and provide clear and concise ongoing communication to management and stakeholders as needed Ensure timely resolution of open trouble tickets and change requests, logging all changes made to our infrastructure via our Change Blog site Manage after-hours and emergency maintenance as needed, participate in on-call rotation every ~8 weeks Test patches/updates via dedicated test systems and groups prior to releasing patches to the general userbase, provide written notice to userbase of upcoming patches Maintain patching platform duties: Monitoring license usage Group distribution Generating reports for inventory and audits Ability to quickly isolate issues and drive them to resolution Understanding of fundamentals of Windows security and patch management best practices Regular backup/restore job monitoring and testing Ensuring proper resources are always backed up Understand and configure Resource Groups' ownership, membership, permissions, controls Basic proficiency with networking protocols including TCP/IP, SSL, VPN, DNS, DHCP The candidate must be able to follow Administrator best practices and work both independently and as a contributor to a team The candidate must be security conscious and use best practices in daily work The candidate must have excellent communication skills Qualifications: Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience in an Administrator role within an enterprise environment Industry certifications from Microsoft (MCSE, MCSM, MCITP, VMware VCP) are preferred Job Level: P4 Working at Amwell: Amwell is changing how care is delivered through online and mobile technology.
