What You Will Do?
The Supplier Diversity Senior Specialist will play a key role in supporting and executing the company's supplier diversity initiatives aimed at achieving a more inclusive supply chain by promoting engagement with suppliers that are owned and operated by underrepresented groups.
By fostering a diverse supplier base, KENVUE aims to advance economic growth within these communities and aspires to drive innovation and competitive advantage through diverse perspectives and solutions.
This position in the Procurement function will collaborate with various departments to ensure that supplier diversity and sustainability (or ESG Environmental, Social, Governance ) goals are met and will help drive the company's commitment to ethical and sustainable sourcing practices.
Key Responsibilities * In collaboration with Procurement Leaders, develop and implement supplier diversity strategies to ensure appropriate identification, qualification, and inclusion of diverse suppliers in sourcing activities and long-term category business planning * Conduct regular assessments of the supplier base to identify opportunities for increased diversity and inclusion * Identify, research and assess capabilities of diverse vendors across a set of spend categories * Collaborate with Procurement teams to ensure diverse suppliers are considered in sourcing decisions * Support Procurement teams in taking key decisions and/or provide recommendations concerning supplier diversity category strategies including sourcing, negotiation, contract awards, and supplier management * Monitor and report on supplier diversity and additional sustainability metrics to measure the effectiveness of our initiatives, providing regular updates to senior management * Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders regarding supplier diversity and wider sustainability efforts * Support the development of training and awareness programs related to supplier diversity and sustainable sourcing practices and encourage and support suppliers in developing their (diversity) capabilities * Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory and reporting requirements related to supplier diversity and sustainability What we are looking for Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in sustainability, business, supply chain management, procurement, or a related field * Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supplier diversity, sustainability, procurement, supply chain management, or a related area * Strong understanding of supplier diversity and sustainability principles and best practices * Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret, visually present, and report on complex data to drive decisions * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders * Proficiency in tools and applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, Tableau or similar Desired Qualifications * Passion for promoting diversity and sustainability within the supply chain * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong critical thinking and business curiosity * Track record of successfully managing projects to completion, including managing cross functional stakeholders/teams, business requirements gathering (e.g., identifying and mapping business needs to application capabilities), building, testing and implementing solutions * Experience with supplier management software and tools and/or financial and sustainability reporting is a plus.
