Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on Abbott's diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people.What You'll DoJob ObjectiveEnsure the profitability of the business unit through price analysis and Gross Margin Improvement strategies.General Responsibilities·Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to determine prices and terms of agreements.·Implement the pricing strategy established by Global Marketing.·Provide local feedback to the global tool owner and the business process leader (sales excellence organization).·Coordinate with contract management to complete contract entry after signing.Specific Responsibilities·Guide, monitor, analyze, and provide expertise on pricing and contractual terms for acquisition opportunities.·Advise on pricing agreements and contract terms for upcoming large and complex deals.
Use the Price Recommendation Tool (PRT) to provide pricing guidance and maintain price integrity; build a database of "comparables.
"·Leverage experience with previous agreements to provide insights.·Analyze the impact of pricing decisions and contract terms on the operation's EP and the region and country's profitability.·Maintain price integrity for acquisition opportunities.·Monitor pricing outcomes to track performance and price integrity within the country and region.·Conduct price analysis to identify pricing trends affecting future offers in the region or country.·Annually establish price lists for products (assays, instruments, services, disposables) based on local knowledge and in accordance with global requirements.·Provide information on RFP submissions for tenders.·Track compliance with current contracts, including price increases and commitment adherence.·Maintain pricing tools as needed.·Provide information, insights, and guidance to country profitability improvement initiatives.Required Qualifications·Professional in accounting, administrative, engineering, or financial fields.·Minimum of 1 year of related work experience in financial analysis.Preferred Qualifications·Demonstrated understanding of the local healthcare market, including pricing trends and customer needs.·Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish.·Strong understanding of profit and loss, and how pricing and contract terms affect the profitability of agreements.·Solid management and negotiation skills.·Some knowledge of Abbott Diagnostics Division (ADD) product offerings.·Experience in sales/marketing is a significant advantage.·Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.·Knowledge of Salesforce.
