GSMS Grade: P1 Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: In the dynamic DTC business environment, as Sr Specialist of the retained Retail accounting area within the team, the main focus of this role is to ensure any Retail data for adidas LAM is reported in a timely and accurate manner, and meets the requirements set within the adidas Group policies.
This includes, but is not limited to, being an expert for any implementation of new company initiatives or projects, and contact with Finance and the Global Business Services (GBS) teams.
Key Responsibilities: Perform month-end-closing, corrections and in-depth analysis of Retail related accounting topics to ensure accuracy in the financial statement (e.g.
accruals and provisions, IFRS16, shrinkage, payment methods, etc.
). Support the reconciliation and investigate and resolve discrepancies for Retail GL accounts on a monthly basis. Ensure the correct accounting treatment is applied to all Retail held by adidas LAM locations and revaluation of the balance sheet accounts of all companies within area of responsibility. Monitor systems interfaces, review and explain variations regarding Retail in the different IT systems (e.g.
SAP, RBO, etc). Identify, implement, and/or support process improvements and harmonization with a focus on continuous improvement. Support the implementation of Retail Accounting policies to ensure compliance with internal and local guidelines for both existing and future initiatives. Support the successful execution of all accounting activities for Retail topics, ensuring work is completed in a timely and accurate manner. Collaborate with Global Financial Shared Services and other teams on ad hoc Retail Accounting projects as required. Attend to queries from internal departments in relation to Retail Accounting policies and procedures. Assist in the preparation of internal and external audit requests. Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls. Understand complex accounting matters, demonstrate quick problem-solving skills and strong collaboration with other finance and non-finance teams. Be adaptable, flexible, and able to deal with ambiguity in an ever-changing environment while maintaining a positive attitude and working collaboratively within the team. Be deadline driven, results-oriented, highly responsible and accountable, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Be proactive, have strong initiative and be self-motivated.

Have strong accounting and analytical skills. Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 3+ years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance. AT ADIDAS WE HAVE A WINNING CULTURE.
