Job Description: Sr. Project Controller
The Senior Project Controller leads and mentors Project Controllers and Coordinators, focusing on process development, job setup, training, and cross-training.
Key responsibilities include project setup, progress reporting, cost control analysis, forecasting, change management, and project closeout.
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor project accounting teams in project controls functions.
Act as a subject matter expert for all project controls activities.
Oversee weekly, monthly, quarterly, and fiscal year-end deliverables.
Manage WIP reporting and conduct monthly CTC reviews and revenue recognition.
Review contract statuses and monitor project Profit and Loss.
Audit job costs and profitability while performing EVM and GMP analyses.
Conduct internal audits of accounting practices and serve as a financial liaison across teams.
Facilitate monthly accounting meetings and prepare management reports.
Ensure accuracy of the project control management system (CMS) through regular analysis and audits.
Collaborate with leadership to align goals and risk management strategies.
Requirements 5-10 years of Project Controls experience in construction Degree in PM, Civil, Electrical, Engineering, etc.
or equivalent work experience Proficient in Project Control software (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, etc.)
Strong analytical skills on project performance assessments Experience leading and mentoring Project Controllers and Coordinators Proven history of handling multiple projects Bonus Skills Has experience in renewable energy (solar / power generation)
