This role involves creating detailed site layouts, electrical single-line diagrams, and ensuring all designs comply with relevant codes and regulations. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth project execution and maintain accurate data records.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and Engineering- Develop comprehensive solar system designs using HelioScope or Aurora.- Create detailed site layouts, electrical single-line diagrams, and other necessary documentation.- Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.Data Management- Compile and analyze energy usage data for accounts with multiple meters.- Maintain accurate records in spreadsheets, ensuring all data is organized and easily accessible.- Perform detailed calculations to determine system size, performance, and financial feasibility.Project Coordination- Collaborate with sales, project management, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.- Communicate design requirements and specifications to stakeholders.- Review and approve final designs before project initiation.Quality Assurance- Perform quality checks on designs to ensure accuracy and completeness.- Continuously improve design processes and methodologies.Qualifications- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software.- Proficiency in using HelioScope or Aurora for solar design.- Experience in developing comprehensive solar system designs.- Ability to create detailed site layouts and electrical single-line diagrams.- Understanding of local, state,and federal codes and regulations related to solar design.- Strong analytical skills for compiling and analyzing energy usage data.- Excellent communication skills for project coordination and stakeholder interaction.
