What is the job about?
As a service technician, you will apply your technical knowledge to provide customer support with a high service focus, delivering services quickly and efficiently in support of the company's goals.
This position reports directly to the Head of Service & Solutions and will primarily operate in Cota, Cundinamarca-Colombia, focusing mainly on fieldwork.
The role requires up to 80% field services and 20% administrative work; relocation for this position is not supported; therefore, qualified candidates must reside in Cundinamarca and have authorization to work in Colombia without assistance.
Your main responsibilities: Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, repair and replace parts and reassemble pumps, pump systems and accessories in a field service and/or shop environment.Ensure warranty claims are dealt with in a fair and timely manner for all parties concerned, ensuring that due process is followed, and all necessary administration tasks are completed to ensure traceability of jobs and hours allocated.Ensure timely and accurate input and analysis of data through SAP and FAS so that issues are monitored and resolved as quickly and effectively as possible.Accurately capture failure data and record all failures in standard Grundfos reporting tools and the FAS system.Ensure quick turnaround and reliability of repair of serviced products.Develop a continuous improvement approach to service repair and implement corrective actions.Provide back-up support for the handling of incoming calls on service and technical inquiries.Perform workshop equipment servicing when required.Maintain a high level of customer communication with regards to open and pending service jobs.Maintain a high level of professionalism in the execution of the role and in all customer communications.Any other reasonable duties as requested, commensurate with the position.Promote and drive service revenue growth opportunities.Your background We imagine that you have:
Experience driving well-defined processes within the service environment.Ability to participate in work with processes or projects.2 years of relevant work experience before entering level besides formal technical education.Ability to influence others and follow processes.Some experience supporting key business initiatives.Knowledge of best practices and relevant practices, systems in the service environment.Availability to travel within Colombia and surrounding areas.What's in it for you?
