Due tocontinued growth, Northern Honda has an opportunity for an experienced andambitious Service Manager to join our team. This opportunity presents abrand-new automotive platform where you will work with like-minded individualscarving the way for the future in this state-of-the-art dealership.
TheRole: The ServiceManager is responsible for leading a team of service advisors and workshopstaff with the primary objective of achieving service sales targets, profitmargins, and supporting vehicle sales targets. Key focus areas include customerservice, the service process and discipline, training & development, andeffective administration. The Service Manager must comply with establishedpolicies and procedures.
You'llMake an Impact By: Supporting the service team withcustomer interactions to ensure effective outcomesAnswering inquiries from staff& customers on the products, services, or activities of theorganisationAdvising customers about necessaryservice for routine maintenance as well as pre-emptive repairsManaging customer complaints in acalm and reassuring manner to ensure high customer satisfaction standardsEnsuring consistently highstandards are established and maintained by the service team in allrelationships with internal and external stakeholdersFacilitating respectful and ethicalliaison with OEM representativesDriving and monitoring processes toenhance the customer experienceEnsuring all new staff are inductedon the expected standards of customer serviceProactively managing andmaintaining positive relationships with key customer accountsProactively seeking new businessopportunitiesDirectly supporting and/or managingany customer complaint in line with JMG customer processesLiaising between clients and theworkshop to ensure our Technicians have accurate, up-to-date informationto complete services and repairs efficiently and to the highest standard.Communicating vehicle inspectionresults to customersMaintaining a comprehensive workingknowledge of the service department and collaborating with colleaguesacross the dealership to maintain effective operations.Taking responsibility for healthand safety in the workplace and looking out for the physical and emotionalwellbeing of others.WhatYou'll Bring: Excellent interpersonal skillsincluding strong verbal, written, and listening communication skillsStrong business acumen includingstrategic and operational planningStrong financial acumen includingexperience with budgets and expense trackingProcess-driven and proactive withstrong initiativeAbility to meet deadlines andachieve set sales targets and profit marginsHigh levels of self-motivation,drive, and resilienceExcellent problem-solving skillsStrong management and leadershipexperience including the ability to keep the team focused and motivated ina challenging work environmentExperience ina similar role within the automotive industry is preferred but not essential.What you do need is a solid work ethic, a positive attitude, and a passion forachieving excellence.
