Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Specialist/Developer to manage and support our internal Intranet site built on SharePoint and our external website powered by Umbraco CMS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SharePoint development, content management systems (CMS), and web technologies, including .NET, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Responsibilities Manage, develop, and support the company's Intranet site built on SharePoint, ensuring performance, security, and user accessibility. Maintain and enhance the external website built on Umbraco CMS, ensuring it aligns with company branding and marketing strategies. Develop custom SharePoint solutions, including web parts, workflows, and forms, to meet internal business needs. Collaborate with Marketing, Communications, and IT teams to implement new web features, update content, and ensure seamless functionality across both platforms. Administer and support system configurations, security permissions, and role-based access controls for both the Intranet and external website. Optimize website performance, ensuring scalability, security, and responsiveness across different devices and browsers. Develop and maintain custom web applications using .NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other relevant technologies. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to web development, system configurations, and integrations. Ensure adherence to best practices in web development, including usability, SEO optimization, and WCAG accessibility standards. Provide user training and create documentation for internal teams to manage content and workflows effectively. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements or upgrades. And other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in SharePoint development and system administration. Strong expertise in Umbraco CMS, or experience with other CMS platforms. Proficiency in web technologies, including .NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and web app development frameworks. Solid understanding of web design principles, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility. Experience with website performance optimization and SEO best practices. Knowledge of security best practices for web applications and CMS platforms. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in web development and system integration. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders. Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Preferred Skills Experience with front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js. Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, PowerShell scripting, and SharePoint Online. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
