Senior Specialist Regulatory Affairs LATAM Andean Job Summary Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist focused on Product Compliance and advocacy, business, and customer support. Accountable for executing regulatory strategy in the Andean Region. Main focal point for the Functional Ingredients Business. Requires good relationship skills and knowledge of food regulations in the Andean region. Participation in Trade Associations is beneficial. Experience with regulations from other jurisdictions is welcome. English proficiency is a must. Roles & Responsibilities: Support the existing product portfolio in food applications, providing expertise and insight while managing product lifecycles, including opening new markets/applications and introducing existing products into additional countries/jurisdictions within the region. Actively participate in new projects and product developments, defining regulatory strategies and supporting dossier work as needed. Ensure that relevant risk evaluation and management processes are followed and completed. Identify advocacy needs in the region and collaborate with global colleagues, including the Scientific and Public Affairs team, to proactively track and assess the impact of relevant regulations and guidance documents concerning IFF's products. Interface with local competent authorities and trade associations to understand regulatory issues directly impacting the use of IFF's products. Translate global and regional regulatory issues to different internal stakeholders (e.g., commercial teams, quality, operations) and external stakeholders (e.g., customers). Collaborate with internal business functions to define optimal regulatory pathways aligned with business plans, development opportunities, and R&D objectives. Provide regulatory support for customer regulatory filings as needed. Develop, submit, and support regional dossiers for approval as required. Provide regional regulatory input during cross-functional business projects. Requirements: 3-5 years of experience in similar positions. Degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Nutrition, or equivalent. Knowledge of regulations in the Andean Region - CODEX. Advanced English proficiency.
