Title: Senior Software Engineer Location: Bogota Role overview: Design solutions taking care of the existing business flow, maintain high-quality Java applications and best practices.
Identify and resolve any technical issues arising in production and Development environment.
Propose changes to current Java infrastructure Conducting software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging.
They are responsible for writing clean, efficient, well-documented code and debugging and troubleshooting the program.
Java developer roles and responsibilities also include analyzing user requirements, testing software, resolving issues and ensuring the smooth functioning of the programs in the back end.
Collaborate with teams in technical, business, operations and partner to identify and prioritise requirements.
How you will create impact: Investigating alternatives, identifying issues and fixes to improve the solutions Consider into best practices to improve the existing solutions Essential qualifications: Demonstrable expertise in various technical areas, including programming, network administration, and software installation and configuration.
4+ years of experience in software development, database management, or a role with similar responsibilities.
A bachelor's or master's degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of Java languages and web development frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, and Struts.
Good knowledge of various frameworks best practices of java, including thread, io, web application, JPA etc.
Working knowledge of database technologies (MySQL , Postgres).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with organisational capabilities.
Experience with IT project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
