Position Title: Senior Scrum Master Seniority: Senior Location: Remote Position Overview Join our leading-edge Agile development team as a Senior Scrum Master, where you will guide cross-functional teams in delivering innovative products effectively using Scrum methodologies. Your role will encompass leading Scrum ceremonies, mentoring team members, and seamlessly integrating quality assurance processes into Agile workflows. You will be instrumental in fostering an environment of continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps, and impacting organizational success at Daylight Transport. The position involves significant challenges and opportunities to shape best practices in a formal, technology-driven environment, offering a unique chance to refine agile processes and enhance product quality across the organization. Key Responsibilities Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Guide the product owner and development team in writing effective user stories and maintaining a prioritized product backlog. Coach and mentor the development team in agile practices to foster self-organization and continuous improvement. Remove impediments and protect the team from external distractions to maintain sprint focus. Track and communicate key performance metrics like team velocity and sprint burndown to stakeholders. Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to ensure alignment between the product roadmap and business goals. Drive the integration of QA and testing practices into the agile workflow, promoting a culture of quality assurance. Facilitate discussions to incorporate quality metrics into the team's definition of done and sprint goals. Foster effective communication and collaboration between development and QA teams to enhance product quality. Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 3 years experience as a Scrum Master; additional experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of Scrum framework and agile methodologies. Experience in writing user stories, creating epics, and managing product backlogs. Proficiency in agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, etc.). Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with software development practices and tools is preferred. Experience working with QA Analysts and Testing Managers in an agile environment. Understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices. Familiarity with test management tools and their integration with agile project management software. Understanding of different testing types (e.g., unit, integration, system, acceptance) and how they fit into the agile process. Nice to Have Skills Experience with behavior-driven development (BDD) practices. Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes. Knowledge of lean principles and Kanban methodologies. Ability to facilitate the adoption of test automation processes. Experience with scaled agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS). Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices. Certification in advanced Scrum Master roles, such as CSP-SM or PSM II.
