Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to be the sole developer on our team initially, responsible for building the foundation of our SaaS product.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and scaling SaaS products using Rails, and will collaborate closely with our team to define the project scope, establish best practices, and lay the groundwork for future development.
Key Responsibilities: Full-Stack Development: Build a SaaS product from scratch using Ruby on Rails, handling both back-end and front-end development (full-stack experience preferred).
System Setup: Establish key development tools such as version control, test suites, and database architecture to ensure scalability.
Collaboration: Work closely with the team to define the product scope and create a roadmap for implementation.
Scaling: Develop a scalable software architecture that supports the growth of the SaaS platform.
Team Expansion Preparation: Prepare the product and processes for future team growth, ensuring smooth integration for additional developers.
Qualifications: 8+ years of experience as a Ruby on Rails developer, preferably with experience building SaaS products from scratch.
Proven experience scaling software using Rails.
Strong understanding of full-stack development.
Ability to collaborate in a small, agile team environment.
Comfortable with video calls and whiteboarding sessions for project collaboration.
Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
Preferred candidate located in the LATAM region.
Nice-to-Haves: Experience in database architecture and management.
Familiarity with setting up development workflows and processes for scaling teams.
JavaScript and other relevant technologies for full-stack development.
Ideally, experience with web-based application development and scaling products.
