Senior Manager, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Programs & Initiatives COP 80.000.000 - 120.000.000 Purpose As the Senior Manager, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Global Operations & Technology, you will contribute to the overall success of the Global Operations & Technology Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategy to ensure specific goals, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the DEI team's strategies and objectives. You will be responsible for supporting the Director, DEI with the implementation, management, and execution of key Diversity, Equity & Inclusion programs, external partnerships, and DEI compliance requirements. You have a proven track record as a highly collaborative, organized, and results-oriented professional who can deepen strategic partnerships and leverage broader Bank stakeholders, systems, and knowledge. You are passionate about diversity, equality, and inclusion, cultural transformation, and driving organizational change. Accountabilities Program management and execution of several key Global Operations and Technology DEI Programs with a focus on programming for advancing equity deserving groups: Global Sponsorship Program, BPTN-BFUTR, etc. Provide feedback on program/policy design to the Director and provide recommendations on program execution. Provide relationship management support with external partnerships. Partner with multiple internal stakeholders from across the bank to gather, consolidate, and execute on requests for more information for external client-facing requests pertaining to DEI. Facilitate and complete Enterprise DEI regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., Employment Equity Narrative Report) in support of Scotiabank compliance requirements. Support the Director, DEI with managing the GO&T DEI budget, monthly spend, while preparing monthly and quarterly forecasting reports and invoicing to finance. Proactively utilize a wide range of HR data to identify themes/trends and recommend effective DEI strategies to meet the business needs. Measure, track, and analyze the effectiveness of DEI initiatives; report progress and recommend opportunities for priority areas of focus. Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment. Support the Director, DEI with the development of quarterly decks for Global Operations and Technology Inclusion Council and minute-taking for the meetings. Work closely with the director to align operational efforts with overall strategic direction. Effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to drive initiatives forward. Assist in the submission of Scotiabank's awards and indices strategy to enrich Scotiabank's external brand recognition. Responsibilities include but are not limited to working with various stakeholders to compile their responses, getting approval from various stakeholders, submitting the responses to the respective organization, and communicating the results to the greater DE&I team. Qualifications: Previous experience working within DEI; demonstrated awareness of all facets of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience or strategic initiatives experience. Project management experience with the ability to implement corporate change strategies in partnership with senior leadership and across functions. Strong business acumen supplemented with the proven ability to build successful and effective relationships with individuals at all levels of an organization. Proven communication, facilitation, and presentation skills to promote ideas persuasively and effectively, win buy-in for initiatives, and work through conflicts, in order to ensure operational alignment and high-impact execution. Ability to translate evidence-based strategy into actionable plans that drive cultural and behavioral change. Undergraduate degree, preferably with a focus on business/human resources or work-related experience. CHRL or other HR designation, or in progress is an asset. Previous experience working within a global matrix environment. Results-oriented in managing and executing multiple programs simultaneously. Ability to collaborate and work in partnership with various internal teams and external partners/vendors towards common goals. Education / Experience / Other Information College Diploma or University Degree in Human Resources, Business, or Communications. Minimum 5 years working experience in HR or a related field. Able to learn about key global trends in diversity, equity & inclusion, employee engagement, talent management, and/or human resources. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral. Strong relationship building and influencing skills to develop and maintain effective partnering relationships with key stakeholders. Demonstrate effective time management and priority setting skills. Solid knowledge of computer systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Social Media platforms).
