As a Senior Financial Accountant , you will have opportunities to participate in treasury, accounts payable, and other accounting areas. You will be responsible for maintaining general ledger accounting for operational cash accounts, cash investments, accounts payable, and employee travel reimbursements. You will also be involved in the invoice management process to ensure appropriate accounting recognition and proper business approval of expenses. Finally, you will assist with the initiation of payments to vendors and other business partners and will be responsible for tracking, maintaining, and overseeing the daily movement of money throughout our business accounts. You will work closely with North American and Latin American accounting and Finance personnel, as well as other relevant stakeholders throughout the company. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background in accounting and finance, has experience with both US GAAP and IFRS, can comfortably communicate in both Spanish and English, and is a self-starter with analytical skills. Essential Responsibilities Execute the accounting for operational cash accounts, cash investments, accounts payable, and other key areas. Manage the accounts payable electronic mailbox to ensure all vendor communications have been appropriately addressed. Participate in the invoice management process to ensure appropriate accounting recognition and proper approvals of invoices. Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments to vendors. Reconcile accounts payable balances with supplier statements. Manage and execute fund transfers, monitoring cash flows to ensure sufficient funds are available for daily operations. Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliation reports associated with accounting month-end close. Build and maintain a strong relationship with the North America Accounting department to ensure smooth month-end processes that result in timely and accurate internal accounting and reporting. Participate in global month-end close procedures for certain Latin America entities (i.e., Colombia and Peru). Assist the US accounting and reporting team to complete US GAAP financial statements. Contribute to the proper completion of statutory accounting and reporting for Latin American markets. Act as a subject matter expert for our ERP system (NetSuite) and other process improvement initiatives. Build and maintain a professional network to share best practices. Required Knowledge And Experience Bachelor's degree in accounting or administration. 5+ years of related professional experience with accounting and treasury (online gaming experience is a PLUS). Fluent in both Spanish and English is a MUST. Experience with corporate governance and controls management, including processes and systems. Strong organizational, documentation, and communication (oral and written) skills with the ability to provide executive summaries. Strong problem-solving analytical skills, with an ability to drive data analytics and make appropriate conclusions on results. Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines across a variety of stakeholders to meet targets and deliverable dates. Experience and a desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment that demands creativity and flexibility. Adequate accounting knowledge, including a basic understanding of accounting systems. Concur and NetSuite experience is a PLUS. Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze large quantities of data and use data to improve processes.
