This role is pivotal in driving the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of machine learning models that support strategic decision-making for our clients.
The Senior Data Scientist will take ownership of data-driven solutions, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the overall growth of our data capabilities.
This is a leadership role that requires technical expertise as well as the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Model Development and Deployment: Design, implement, and fine-tune machine learning models tailored to business needs.Ensure models are robust and scalable through rigorous testing (e.g., cross-validation, A/B testing).Deploy models into production environments with high efficiency.Model Evaluation and Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the performance of deployed models using advanced metrics (e.g., accuracy, precision, recall, F1 score, MAE, MAPE).Identify areas for improvement and update models with new data or methodologies.Propose and integrate new data sources or modeling techniques to enhance overall effectiveness.Data Analysis and Visualization: Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.Develop and maintain dashboards and reports, making data accessible to non-technical stakeholders.Communicate complex findings in a clear, concise manner to drive data-informed decisions.Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor junior and mid-level data scientists, fostering a collaborative learning environment.Guide best practices for data science projects and ensure adherence to high-quality standards.Big Data Integration and Management: Work with big data tools and platforms like PySpark and Databricks to process and analyze large datasets.Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize data pipelines and effectively manage structured and unstructured data sources. Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field from a top university.
A Master's degree or higher is strongly preferred.
Experience: Minimum 4+ years of data science experience, focusing on machine learning and analytics.
Proven track record of leading projects and teams in a professional setting.Proven Leadership experience.Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Python (preferred) or R for data analysis and modeling.
Strong knowledge of data manipulation libraries (pandas, NumPy) and platforms (Jupyter Notebooks).
Expertise in machine learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, ensemble methods, and neural networks.
Advanced SQL skills and experience with NoSQL databases for unstructured data.
Hands-on experience with big data tools such as PySpark, Databricks, or equivalent.
