Due to an increase in demand of services, the business is looking to scale the team and bring in the 2nd data engineering hire to date.
This individual will have extensive experience in data, with a strong-product mindset and will be responsible for scaling data systems, ensuring data quality and integrity.
Responsibilities: Lead the development and optimisation of data pipelines, databases, and systemsEnsure scalability, efficiency, and reliability in all data operationsCollaborate with engineers and analysts to design and implement robust data modelsUtilising new techniques, solve complex data problems, ensuring data integrityAlign data initiatives with business objectives and client needs, delivering tailored solutions.Produce scalable code, perform code reviews, and provide feedback to improve team practices.
To apply for this Senior Data Engineer position, you will need at least 5 years of relevant experience as a data engineer.
You will also require the following: Extensive experience in data engineering with a strong understanding of best practices and data qualityStrong knowledge in Data ArchitectureExperience in a product-led environment with a self-starter mindset, ideally for a start-upExperience in building data pipelines using open-source tools and scaling data systemsExperience with orchestration tooling (ie: Dagster or Airflow)Experience with cloud databases (ie: Snowflake, Databricks or BigQuery) Preferred Experience: Experience within Blockchain and/or Crypto companiesData Software Agnostic with experience in picking up new tools quickly Benefits: Salary of up to £130,000 or currency equivalentOption to be paid in Crypto (If preferred)EquityAttractive benefits packageRemote Work
