Position Overview: The Senior Bookkeeper will play a critical role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance, and providing accurate financial reporting.
This position requires strong expertise in QuickBooks Online and experience with industry-specific accounting for real estate, property management, and construction projects.
The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to financial management and support decision-making with detailed analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities: General Accounting: Maintain accurate and complete financial records in QuickBooks Online, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger.
Process invoices, and payments, and perform bank reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate financial postings.
Industry-Specific Accounting: Oversee financial aspects of real estate, property management, and construction projects, focusing on job costing, project profitability, and cost allocation.
Track revenue, expenses, and budgets for each property and project, offering insights and recommendations to management.
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management, ownership, and external auditors.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or improvements.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices for accounting processes and workflows.
Optimize the use of QuickBooks Online and integrate it with other systems as necessary.
Qualifications: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and industry-specific accounting practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Nice-to-Haves: Familiarity with Appfolio, GSuite, and Monday.
