Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to lead and support our bookkeeping team.
This role requires managing client financial data, assisting with onboarding, reviewing the work of junior bookkeepers, and ensuring high standards of accuracy.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, leadership experience, and proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Management: Complete weekly, monthly, and recurring tasks for assigned clients, ensuring accurate bookkeeping.
Team Leadership: Assist and mentor junior bookkeepers, review their work, and provide training as needed.
Client Communication: Communicate directly with clients on a weekly basis, addressing any questions or concerns.
Payments and Workflows: Review and remit client payments, and help maintain and improve Karbon workflows.
Client Onboarding: Assist with onboarding new clients to ensure seamless transitions.
Reporting: Provide real-time insights and reporting to clients on their financial data.
Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, including 2 years in a leadership capacity.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and other cloud-based tools.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in managing financial data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with US, Canadian, or Australian accounting standards.
Professional experience working in a remote/virtual environment.
Nice-to-Haves: Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience with improving workflows and implementing new processes.
Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
