Position Overview: We are seeking an energetic and positive Senior Associate FP&A to join our team.
This role involves engaging with clients via video calls, analyzing financial data, and preparing comprehensive financial models and valuation reports.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing budgeting and forecasting processes, creating investor presentations, and documenting business processes.
Additionally, the candidate will build comparable data sets, produce research write-ups, and prepare ad hoc reports and projections.
Key Responsibilities: Client Communication: Engage with clients on video calls to discuss financial data and performance.
Financial Analysis: Analyze current, planned, and past financial data and performance.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and forecasts.
Financial Modeling: Develop 3-statement financial models and DCF valuation models.
Documentation: Prepare investor teaser documents, CIMs, and pitch decks.
Process Documentation: Support business process development and documentation with Loom videos.
Reporting: Prepare ad hoc reports and projections based on analysis.
Data Management: Build out comparable data sets for public company stocks.
Research: Create and maintain research write-ups for industries and clients.
Account Review: Work with accounting departments at clients to review bank and account reconciliations.
Qualifications Communication: Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience: 2-4+ years of experience in a professional accounting firm or consulting firm as an analyst or FP&A Manager.
Education: Bachelors degree in finance or economics from an accredited university.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to perform calculations, build formulas, and create reports in Excel.
Conceptual Skills: Ability to conceptualize the flow of transactions across the three financial statements.
Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience communicating on Zoom/Teams calls with clients or US teams.
CPA, CMA, CFA (or substantive progress towards certification).
CFI FMVA certification is a plus.
Experience with a variety of revenue types and revenue recognition processes.
Experience in the restaurant or hospitality sector is a big plus.
Proficiency in Power Query is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask within challenging deadlines.
Ability to work independently, with little to no oversight, and as part of a team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Hands-on experience with accounting software packages (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, R365, or similar ERP is a plus).
Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to problem-solve accounting matters.
