This is a remote position. We are Mordor Staffing, a concierge outsourcing for small to medium-sized USA businesses located in Medellin, Colombia. The Accountant's key objective is to maintain timely, accurate, real-time financial data in a fast-paced environment while providing a high level of friendly service to all advisors and staff. Duties and Responsibilities of the Accountant Record all commission and accounts receivable transactions by shop, including advisor invoices, and maintain associated balanced general ledger accounts across all shops. Report revenue by shop for franchise fee billings in the system. Record all accounts payable transactions by shop and maintain associated balanced general ledger accounts across all shops. Record all cash and credit card transactions by shop and maintain associated balanced general ledger accounts across all shops. Record and maintain accurate employee data in benefit and payroll programs; complete all employee onboarding and offboarding tasks timely. Process payroll, record all payroll transactions by shop, and maintain associated balanced general ledger accounts across all shops. Reconcile bank and credit card statements. Prepare journal entries by shop for required transactions. Prepare month-end schedules by shop for all asset/liability accounts and maintain balanced general ledger accounts across all shops. Prepare property tax, gross receipts tax, corporate/LLC renewal, and business license filings. Prepare annual advisor commission reports and 1099s. Prepare weekly charitable contribution report and payments. Prepare past-performance section of monthly forecast. Prepare other sales, advisor, commission, and closing reports as needed from the real estate tracking system. Maintain digital files. Manage own monthly task schedule to meet all accounting cycle deadlines. Assist in supervision and review of Accounting Intern tasks. Complete other duties assigned by Controller or CFO, as needed. Requirements The ideal candidate must speak fluent English and will be a self-motivated, flexible, and reliable team player with effective communication skills and high attention to detail. Experience working in the real estate industry is a plus. The following skills and qualifications are preferred: prior bookkeeping and general ledger accountant experience; strong attention to detail; ability to work independently and under pressure of consistent deadlines; excellent time management skills; strong communication and customer service skills; technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, QuickBooks, and Adobe Pro; fast keyboard and processing skills; strong prioritization and organization skills; ability to maintain confidential information; and good record-keeping skills. Benefits Salary: Up to $7.5M COP monthly. Full-time position with indefinite term labor contract. Location: Colombia. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours.
