Main responsibilitiesSenior AccountantMISIÓN DEL CARGO We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.
Senior Accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
Senior Accountant duties also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks.
RESPONSABILIDADES Key duties and responsibilities of a Sr. Accountant include: Liaise with our Financial Manager and Accounting Manager in each geography to improve financial proceduresEnsure compliance with IFRS principles and Regional Accounting policiesSupport Regional Team in developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsSupport month-end and year-end close process ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance according to scheduleAssist with tax audits and tax returns and its global chain of reportPrepare financial statements and produce budget according to scheduleProvide input into department's goal setting process.Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast processReview and recommend modifications to accounting systems and proceduresProvide technical support and advice on Management Accountant (FP&A)Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spendingAnalyze financial information and summarize financial statusProduce error-free accounting reports and present their resultsAssist the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Head of Accounting as required.Requirements and skillsFORMACIÓN ACADÉMICA BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevantAdvanced English levelIn-depth understanding of IFRS.Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tablesAwareness of business trends (Med.)Thorough knowledge of shared services accounting procedures (Med.)Regional Tax Knowledge (Med.)EXPERIENCIA Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, chief or senior accountant Budget creation (Med)COMPETENCIAS TÉCNICAS: Comfortable with math, calculations, and computingwork out numbers.generate reports.find discrepancies!Project management: Strong PM skills are useful. they need to be flexible enough to handle lots of information at once.Data visualization Tools (Med.) COMPORTAMENTALES Good listening and communication skillsAttention to detail.Strong analytical skills with effective problem-solving abilities.Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.
