Job Description The Securities & Derivatives Analyst 1 is an entry-level position responsible for providing analytical and administrative support to merchants alongside the Transaction Capture team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement, and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions. Responsibilities: Process transactions and/or payments of capital markets products negotiated by the different Treasuries of the LATAM countries. Provide analytical and administrative support to the Customer Service, Sales, and Negotiation area regarding derivatives and securities transactions. Support the team during periods of increased demand and absences and support the onboarding and training of new employees. Minimize processing risk and perform root cause analysis of discrepancies, ensuring processes comply with regulations. Escalate all issues in a timely manner and monitor ad hoc business and customer queries and requirements. Review existing processes and requests, identify opportunities for improvements, and support the development of monthly service packages. Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the company's reputation and protecting Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by encouraging compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment in relation to personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively monitoring the activity of others and creating accountability for those who fail to maintain these standards. Qualifications: 0-2 years of relevant experience Outstanding knowledge of capital markets Basic accounting knowledge Demonstrate high analytical skills and achievement orientation. Ability to work under pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Basic-intermediate English proficiency Education: University degree related to Banking and/or equivalent experience. Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance. This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
