The Risk Hub Senior Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams. About the team This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team in Citi's Services Business. The team supports Services MCA across multiple Assessment Units/Global Assessment Units. Among other services, the team reporting to this role delivers centralized monitoring/testing of controls' performance as well as guidance, reporting, and enhancement of controls design, Operational Effectiveness Monitoring and Testing design, and related activities to business partners. The role reports to the Risk Hub Lead based in Bogota. This position will be at the Sr Analyst (C12) Level. As foundations for this risk management In-Business function, the focus is timeliness and relevance so to require a proactive and critical approach to endeavor day-to-day challenges. About the role The Risk Senior Hub analyst is a challenging role in charge of the timely delivery of high quality and value added centralized control assurance and strengthens Operational Effectiveness Monitoring and Testing over a portfolio of Services Business activities from all Citi's geographic clusters. This role offers the opportunity of achieving a holistic view of all Services Products, businesses, processes and client needs. While working closely with product managers, business heads, support areas/cluster offices, the candidate will acquire influencing skills and ability to reach consensus and persuade others. In addition, the role will bring boldness for the candidate to consistently make decisions that serve the best interests of the company and its stakeholders. Responsibilities: This role's primary responsibilities are: Assist in delivery of Managers Control Assessment (MCA), including data analysis, system inputs and stakeholder advice and guidance in support of MCA Transformation and new MCA requirements. Provide administrative support for all covered geographies in managing/maintaining controls in the system. Responsible for supporting multiple risks and control programs execution including the definition of strategy, approach, tools and metrics reporting that provide global risk management consistency and excellence. Apply solid understanding of risk management standards, meaningful assurance view and correct interpretation of policies' purpose, as a seasoned professional. Perform operational effectiveness Testing and Monitoring of centralized complex key controls for the business to ensure risks are mitigated in line with the documented processes. Document test results in an accurate, clear, and concise manner to enable detailed risk analysis and Senior Management Reporting. Manage communication and coordination of support to stakeholders across Services. Provide support, education and training to staff to build risk and control awareness within the Services Business. Create, implement and/or improve processes through efficiencies/automation. Identify opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system driver changes. Document and update procedures in a timely manner/conducting training sessions or walk-throughs to the team to enable effective application in BAU. Be up to date with all policies and new regulations impacting the business and support the implementation in a timely manner. Analyze large data sets in Excel to generate regular and ad-hoc reporting for relevant forums which will be documented and presented to the business and Senior Management. Contribute to organizing/maintaining the SharePoint sites used to enable self-service access for the stakeholders. Liaise with business and line control officers on any deficiencies or control gaps as well as ensuring appropriate remedial actions are in place where deficiencies are identified. Document, implement and execute Corrective Action Plan (CAP) for management of control issues. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Engage and assist with additional workstreams as required. Project Manage/lead initiatives, as required. Aspiring candidates should have: 6-9 years of relevant work experience in Risk in Compliance, Operational Risk, Legal or other control related function within a financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof; previous experience managing staff is a plus; extensive experience in area of focus as well as working in/managing within a globally dispersed team. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and other database systems. Bilingual, fluent Spanish and English; Portuguese a plus. 3+ years' experience in Financial Services and understanding of financial products and investment banking. Postgraduate studies (preferably) in risk management or related fields. Strong presentation and facilitation skills (ability to lead calls/meeting with top corporate clients). Ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging – both verbal and in writing. Demonstrated ability to develop and deploy business strategy and improvement initiatives. Good interpersonal and relationship management skills to be able to support multiple stakeholders with a 'can do' collaboration mentality. Planning, project management and scheduling skills sufficient to be effective in prioritizing and meeting deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced business environment with a high degree of change and resilience.
