Position Overview: The Resource Manager will be responsible for maintaining optimal staffing utilization by strategically planning and overseeing the allocation of staff to client files.
This role requires a proactive approach to resource allocation, anticipating and resolving resourcing deficiencies in real time.
The ideal candidate will be data-driven, detail-oriented, and possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills to support the firm's growth and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Resource Planning and Optimization: Maintain optimal staffing utilization by strategically planning and overseeing the allocation of staff to client files.
Monitor client file progress against timelines and staff availability.
Plan for the transition of client files between staff members when there are changes in team composition.
Forecast resource needs for recruitment and sales purposes.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Track and report on recorded hours and metrics related to resourcing and scheduling.
Provide regular updates to management on resource allocation and utilization.
Conduct revenue forecasting to support billing and invoicing processes.
Process Improvement and Automation: Research and implement technical or automation solutions to enhance delivery efficiency.
Continuously evaluate and improve resource management processes to align with organizational goals.
Communication and Coordination: Collaborate with staff across the organization to ensure effective resource distribution and resolve any conflicts.
Provide support for billing, invoicing, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications: Proven experience in project management and resource allocation.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to pivot when unexpected challenges arise.
Highly organized with the ability to create scalable systems in a fast-growing environment.
Confident in communication; able to follow up persistently to ensure necessary information is obtained.
Data-driven, with strong attention to detail and expertise in Excel.
Familiarity with project management tools and automation solutions is a plus.
Nice-to-Haves: Experience in a similar industry or with resource management functions.
Familiarity with automation tools and techniques.
