We seek experienced high-performing software quality engineers for positions involving quality assurance and test automation for a Private Cloud Platform solution aimed at enabling distributed Edge computing. You will join a highly skilled team delivering a highly distributed private cloud platform supporting containerized applications in addition to supporting virtual machines and bare metal nodes.Responsibilities and Duties- 4 years of experience as a Quality Assurance.- Create test plans and related infrastructure to validate features and fixes to the cloud platform; and triage issues found using your Linux, networking, Python, and other skills.- Review, analyze, and supplement requirement specifications, and ensure maximum test coverage.- Automate test plans using pytest to augment the automated test coverage.- Investigate automated test execution failures to identify adjustments necessary to the setup or to report bugs found.- Work as part of a team focused on containerization, virtualization, VM management and fault tolerant/carrier grade development.- Contribute to a highly available, carrier grade private cloud platform aimed to be at the core of 5G and distributed Edge deployments worldwide.Qualifications and Skills- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and attention to details.- Highly versatile professional, able to navigate a wide range of contexts and potentially technologies.- Good computer networking understanding on the application (DNS/HTTP/HTTPs.) and some understanding of the network layer (IP/ICMP).- Linux familiarity, knows how to use a terminal, understands the OS structure (file system,process, memory, etc.) and how to navigate through some other Linux aspects as an advanced user.- Experience installing and deploying systems and applications on Linux based hosts.- Experience troubleshooting systems and applications on Linux based deployments, e.g. collecting and analyzing logs in a distributed architecture, troubleshooting network communication between system components (i.e. Linux hosts, Linux processes, etc.), and collecting and analyzing memory, CPU and other Linux system information.- Experience creating, maintaining and executing test cases for backend systems in at least one of these contexts: integration/system, feature, and performance (e.g. load, soak, spike, etc.) tests.- Experience automating integration/features/system tests for backend systems (preferably using pytest).- Exceptional team player who works well in collaborative environments.- Self-managed, fast learner with the desire and ability to master new technologies.About EncoraEncora is the preferred digital engineering and modernization partner of some of the world's leading enterprises and digital native companies.
