Brief Overview: As a QA Lead, you will be responsible for leading our quality assurance efforts, developing testing strategies, and ensuring that our software products meet the required standards of quality. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements and implement best practices in QA processes. Core Responsibilities: Lead and mentor the QA team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Develop and implement testing strategies, plans, and processes to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Create detailed test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications. Oversee the execution of manual and automated testing, ensuring timely delivery of quality software. Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and define acceptance criteria. Act as the primary point of contact for QA-related issues, providing updates and reporting on test progress and results. Identify, document, and track defects through the testing lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution. Conduct root cause analysis of defects and collaborate with development teams to implement corrective actions. Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes and methodologies, implementing industry best practices. Advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle, promoting a shift-left testing approach. Provide regular status reports on testing progress, defect metrics, and quality assurance activities to management. Utilize data to drive decisions and improvements in the QA process. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail). Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) and scripting for test automation. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
