Role: QA Coordinator Schedule : M-F / 8:00 – 5:00 PST with eventually 2-3 hours buffer/flexibility) Type of Contract: Full Time - Independent Contractor Salary Range: 2000 – 3000 USD (Based on Experience) Scope of the role: The QA Coordinator will lead and manage the quality assurance efforts for our digital product team, ensuring the highest standards of product quality and performance.
This role involves overseeing the testing processes, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that all products meet the required specifications before launch.
The QA Coordinator will work closely with the UX/UI Designer, Project Manager, and Digital Product Manager to develop and execute comprehensive test plans, identify and resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement in product quality.
Responsibilities: Quality Assurance Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy and processes.
Establish and maintain QA standards, guidelines, and best practices.
Test Planning and Execution: Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements.
Execute manual and automated testing to ensure product functionality, performance, and reliability.
Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner.
Team Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with the UX/UI Designer, Project Manager, and Digital Product Manager to understand product requirements and ensure testability.
Work closely with development teams to provide feedback and support during the development process.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of high-quality products.
Continuous Improvement: Analyze test results and provide feedback to the development team for continuous product improvement.
Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in QA methodologies and tools.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present detailed QA reports and metrics to stakeholders.
Document test procedures, processes, and results for future reference and audits.
Requirements C1 English level, with excellent verbal and written communication skills (Must Have).
4+ years of proven experience as a QA Coordinator or in a similar role, particularly within digital products ( Mandatory ).
2+ years of hands-on experience with Shopify in a QA or product management context ( Mandatory ).
Prior experience in the apparel or e-commerce industry with an understanding of the business of selling clothing (Nice to Have).
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes (manual and automated testing techniques).
Proficiency with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail) and software development processes .
Proficiency in Asana for project and product management (Mandatory).
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies .
Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities , with keen attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and tasks.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and project needs.
Proven ability to take initiative and lead improvements in QA processes.
