As a Product Manager on the HPOS Team you will play a critical role formulating and executing GBT's hotel expansion initiatives and helping to drive revenue management for GBT and savings for customers. This role has exposure across AMEX GBT and is of utmost importance for the success of our supply technology initiatives. The Product Manager will help prioritize the gaps, help define product requirements, and manage the execution of the roadmap to expand the footprint of Amex GBT's proprietary HPOS tool to optimize savings and revenue capabilities. The Product Manager will partner with internal engineering and product teams to develop our product and will collaborate with the Supply and Traveler Care teams for prioritization. This role demands a solid understanding of travel technology with a focus on revenue management and deep knowledge of the business traveler life cycle from search to servicing. We are looking for an individual with a background in Hotel Point of Sale who will maximize existing and new technology to impact Amex GBT. The Product Manager will be responsible for tactical or strategic roadmap projects and be a domain expert, acting as an SME to the business. This role is critical to our future growth and we're looking for outstanding and high caliber candidates. What You'll Do: Collaborate with the business to develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, supplier, and customer needs as well as with our stakeholders, to develop a solid and agile roadmap. Maintain and adapt features to industry and business changes and correct any issues. Communicate with management, senior executives, and stakeholders on roadmap and performance when required. Provide status updates regarding progress of roadmap deliverables as needed. Ensure release notes are written and communicated appropriately for each release. Maintain the Product Backlog for the 180-day planning process for products or projects you are responsible for. Work with Engineering & Product colleagues to understand project limitations and capabilities, dependencies, and risks, and communicate information to stakeholders as needed. Navigate the organization, partner with stakeholders to overcome project barriers. Proactively identify risks and take mitigation steps for any risks. Assist with troubleshooting, technical and product support, and manage escalations as needed. Define and monitor performance KPIs and apply remedial actions when needed. Manage technical and business integration touchpoints within the GBT ecosystem and evangelize our product. Manage feature testing, validation procedures, and maintain accurate and up to date product and process documentation. Provide oversight of the product development process to ensure we meet commitments and ensure timely delivery of product releases meeting business needs. Translate needs to requirements, use cases, and prioritized backlogs to determine feasibility for the products or projects you are responsible for. Analyze end-user processes to build products or features that deliver an optimal customer experience. What We're Looking For: 5+ years of experience in travel technology product management with a solid track record of successful product delivery. Knowledge of travel distribution (hotels) is a must. Strong multi-GDS experience and knowledge is a must. Familiarity with travel management is a plus. Strong business and technical acumen, and fact-based critical thinking is a must. Travel industry web services/API experience and knowledge is a plus. Strong experience in technology and product development lifecycle, including agile software development. Proven ability to work effectively in a complex, diverse, and changing global environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Travel e-Commerce experience and knowledge a plus (OTA or OBT experience). Location: United States The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $70,000 to $140,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Award plan, which rewards participants based on company and individual performance.
