ABOUT THE ROLE: The Project Manager I will be a leader of approved projects in the Global Business Services organization. These projects vary in size and scope but may include supporting business process improvements, service transitions & acquisitions, quality/regulation driven project work, as well as driving strategic and transformational changes. These projects often have a relatively high level of complexity and visibility throughout the organization. The Project Manager I will be responsible for leading diverse, cross-functional team(s) of professionals to evaluate, design, build, test and implement solutions to achieve the project goals. This role will work collaboratively across various functions, BSC sites across the globe, and engage stakeholders to develop the individual project strategies and tactical plans to deliver project results. The candidate needs to be a self-motivated individual with demonstrated leadership skills in project, process and/or people management and be able to execute with limited general supervision. Strong technical background and project management skills are highly desired. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE Effectively lead medium to large project teams ensuring good cross-functional communications and alignment to ensure timely completion of the deliverables. Define, monitor, and control scope through project governance forums with various stakeholders. Generate high-level plans, communications, and schedules to assist with task prioritization and workload adjustments. Implement project plans, build team ownership and commitment to project plan and identify, manage, and communicate project risks. Lead team to define and adapt roles and responsibilities throughout projects. Delegate and manage tasks among team members as appropriate to drive execution of project deliverables and minimize risk. Lead project governance forums and document project meeting minutes, issues log, decision logs, metrics, and other key communications. Manage individual project challenges and recommend solutions to address them. Ensure current BSC policies and practices are followed, and accurate documentation requirements are followed. Help identify resources required for project activities, develop project budgets, resource allocations and timelines. Drive and influence results by acting with speed, agility, and adaptability, assigning clear authority and accountability while integrating and aligning efforts across multiple sites and functions. Courageously lead project teams in appropriate decision making through strong judgment and the ability to analyze options and implications. Act as a change steward by encouraging and adopting new ways of looking at problems, processes, and solutions. Foster valued partnership with the business through collaboration with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders at all levels of the organization to achieve project objectives. Continuously capture, apply, and share best practices and lessons learned within and across the organization. Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy. Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR: BS/BA Degree in related field and/or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred. 5+ years of Enterprise Process Improvement / Lean related experience. 5+ years of project leadership or PMO experience. 5+ years technical, professional, or operational experience in related field required. Demonstrated project management and change management experience leading global, enterprise-wide project teams. Demonstrated experience applying hybrid project management, lean business process, and process improvement tools and methodologies. Proven record of keeping the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision making. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships to gain alignment on project goals and outcomes. Strong English proficiency & communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) C+1 90% Excellent knowledge of Microsoft suites (O365, Teams, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.). Strong emotional intelligence and situational leadership. Ability to create a sense of energy, excitement, and personal commitment to the organization by empowering others, rewarding, and celebrating superior performance. Ability to create an inclusive workplace across many locations. Demonstrated high degree of integrity, professionalism, and the ability to establish credibility. High sense of urgency and commitment to execution. Proven adaptability, comfortable with change and with a demonstrated ability to react and respond to a fast-changing environment. Work effectively under minimal supervision, with the courage to make decisions, take ownership and hold oneself accountable to results and works well under strict deadlines. Occasional, limited travel to other BSC sites, some international, may be required. Up to 15%, post COVID. Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations, etc.). Or an equivalent combination of education and experience. USA and Canada Visa.
