Pricing Analyst

Job Description Negotiate service contracts with different carriers to obtain competitive ocean, air and/or land rates.Respond to spot quotations request and implement tariffs.Process, analyze and submit complex freight network bid/tender packages, providing accurate and timely responses.Review key accounts; communicate with customers and sales/operations staff to resolve pricing issues, make recommendations and implement corrective action.Work with Sales and Customer Services Departments to develop pricing strategies.Understand pricing in all Latin America regions, US and Canada, analyzing freight market to fully satisfy company freight needs.Be aware of changes in the market, analyzing freight, rate, and truck capacity trends to createpricing strategies.Build and maintain strong positive relationships with carriers to determine optimal pricing to better meet customer's business requirements.Track performance and profitability providing business reports including carrying out weekly and monthly reporting on trade volumes.Having commercial and economic awareness, including an awareness of global economic factors that can influence the shipping industry.Other duties/special projects as needed Exemption Type Non-Exempt (Hourly) Job Requirements Fluently bilingual in English required.Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of combined experience in business analysis, pricing, or Logistics.Extensive knowledge of the shipping industry terminology and concepts of related equipment and logistics.Ability to analyze data, evaluate alternatives and make recommendations considering impact of decisions.Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively interface with people of a variety of backgrounds.Strong business negotiating skills Proficient in software Microsoft Office, Excel, etc.
