Job Description: The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive. • Independently coordinate and perform duties to operate the 113 prime power generators made by Aggreko, Aksa, Caterpillar, Cummins, Ghaddar, Honda, Indeks, Perkins, Wilson and other manufacturers with outputs ranging from 20 kW up to 1600 kW. • Provide daily work assignments and supervise the Power Generation Operators. • Manage and oversee the power generation control room, power generation-distribution grid, switchgear, transformers, fusible switches, and automatic transfer switches. • Manage and oversee mechanical, electrical, digital, and programmable logic controller (PLC) related diagnosis and repair. • Provide preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, repair, installation, and modernization of all power generation controls equipment on the BDSC compound. • Report any malfunctions or lack of compliance with Statement of Work (SOW) to the Power Generation Senior Supervisor. • Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections. • Assist in developing the Statement of Work (SOW) when requested including diagrams and specifications in compliance with OSHA and National Electric Code (NEC) standards. • Maintain effective, timely and respectful communication and interaction with other employees, managers, and supports other organizations. • Perform other administrative tasks including material ordering, inventory, and work scheduling. • Collect, analyze, and summarize data for report preparation and submit written reports. • Maintain the appropriate technical library and record-keeping which documents all procedures necessary to accomplish assigned responsibilities. • Responsible for facility custodianship of work area and management of tools, equipment, and spare parts. • Take initiative to analyze a situation and make frequent technical decisions based on specifications, safety, and electrical codes. • Evaluate operational effectiveness and develop/maintain effective operational control mechanisms. • Minimum Acceptable Experience Level: Five (5) years' experience in operations and maintenance of a large plant, facility, base, or municipality with specific experience in the operation of power generation control operations and three (3) years' management experience overseeing large facility power generation controls and supervising a workforce of five or more personnel. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: o Hands-on knowledge regarding the operation & maintenance of switchgear controls, distribution switchgear, simple electrical circuits, AD and DC theory, PLC's and basic electrical formulas, transformer functions and motor controls. o Knowledge and experience with tools and electrical measuring meters of the trade. o Knowledge of applicable U.S. Codes and accepted trade practices. o Knowledge and experience regarding occupational hazards of the electrical and mechanical trades, related safety precautions and considerable skill required for the installation, maintenance and repair of power generation systems and equipment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
