Pediatric Epileptologist

Faculty Description University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Department: Pediatric Neurology Job Title: Pediatric Epileptologist Position #00756550 - Requisition #34406 Job Summary: Providing clinical care to children and adolescents with general neurological disorders including recurrent headaches, epilepsy, and other common neurological disorders in an outpatient and inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary responsibility for the management of children and adolescents with a variety of acute and chronic neurological conditions including epilepsy, ecurrent headaches, and tics, and other movement disorders at our outpatient/inpatient clinics or Network of Care location; Serve as a member of interdisciplinary inpatient team providing evaluation and management of children and adolescents with acute and chronic neurological diseases; On-going follow-up care both in clinic and by phone, for neurology patients Participation and contribution to the training, mentorship and education of residents, fellows and APPs; Contribute to the program development, including involvement in ongoing QI projects.
Work Location: Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Board Certified or Eligible in American Academy of Psychiatry and Neurology with Clinical Epilepsy or an equivalent board certification Completion of residency training in Child Neurology 0-6 years of clinical experience, interest in pursuing academic promotion Condition of Employment: Must successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check *For questions regarding Children's Hospital drug testing requirements, please contact Children's Human Resources at 720-777-8598.

Anticipated Pay Range: The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: $215,000-240,000. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
