The Payroll and Benefits Coordinator will be responsible for the planning, organizing, and controlling of all aspects of the Company's payroll and benefits function in the LATAM region. This includes, but is not limited to, administrative duties involving the development and maintenance of payroll, internal controls and records, the supervision of the payroll process cycle and the administration and payments of legal and extra-legal benefits in or outside payroll system. RESPONSIBILITIES Planning, organizing, and controlling all aspects of the Company's payroll function; supervise the day-to-day payroll processing and various payroll schedules. Review payroll documentation and accounting reports for accuracy through audits and makes any necessary adjustments, ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures and federal and state regulations and ensure all necessary back up is accurately stored on HR drive. If required, submits payroll incidences, processes, calculates, and posts a variety of payroll actions. Communicates and liaise with the extended Human Resources team to ensure the integrity of the payroll data including data related to new hires, terminations, transfers, compensation changes; makes updates as necessary and supports in validating information needed for internal or external audits. Researches and resolves questions from managers and employees as they relate to the processing of payroll information such as retroactive pay calculations, tax questions and keep track of progress until resolved through HR Support. Partners with vendors to ensure paychecks are distributed in a timely manner; distribute checks locally prior to direct deposit establishment. Manage employee attendance, vacation tracking in the HRIS, and leave (control reported leaves of absence to request refund in the health entities) management, maintaining employment records and files in accordance with legal requirements (payroll process) and company policies and procedures. Liaise with Finance to ensure accuracy in payments and in the dates set by the Company. Partner with benefits vendor across Latam Region to ensure legal and extra legal payments are done with accuracy and in a timely manner. Support the day to day benefits administration across Region. Partner with cross-functional teams to create and implement process improvements/special projects. This position requires to go 1 day to the office and 4 days home office.
